The Mid-State Teacher Center :
Who We Are

The Mid-State Teacher Center serves and supports educators in Camden, Canastota, Hamilton, Madison, Morrisville-Eaton, Oneida, Stockbridge Valley, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill and the non-public schools of NYSSD, Rome Catholic School, St. Patrick's Elementary, Holy Cross Academy and New Life Christian School.

The Teacher Center:

  • Supports all activities related to the implementation of the K-12 State Learning Standards.
  • Creates an environment to facilitate the sharing of ideas, instructional strategies, and materials to increase learning for all students in participating districts.
  • Provides quality in-service and training programs to increase the professional expertise of teachers and other staff.
  • Provides parental programming that offers ways to foster students' attitudes and skills essential to civic life and student achievement.
  • Supports an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning.

Who's a "member" of the Mid-State Teacher Center?

Every educator in the participating districts is a member of the Center. While the Teacher Center is primarily for teachers, community members and parents are welcome to take advantage of the workshop offerings. Educators in non-participating districts may also take advantage of the workshop offerings usually for a fee.
