The Mid-State Teacher Center is committed to serving the professional needs of the educational community and the community at large in Madison and Oneida counties. The center provides quality in-service and training programs for area educators and the community. Through the mini-project program, teachers and administrators have the opportunity to develop curriculum materials related to content, process, or technological development that improves the teaching/learning process. The Mid-State Teacher Center serves professional educators in eight public school districts, five non-public schools and the Madison-Oneida BOCES.

The New York State Teacher Centers and the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) have worked together to build private partnerships that are designed to bring high quality resources to P-16 institutions in NYS. One of these partnerships is with Verizon Thinkfinity. NYIT and NYS Teacher Centers are the roll-out leaders in NYS for Thinkfinity.org, a free, comprehensive digital learning platform, built upon the merger of two acclaimed programs: Verizon Thinkfinity and the Thinkfinity Literacy Network. It's goal is to improve student achievement in traditional classroom settings and beyond by providing high-quality content and extensive professional development.
