• Response to Intervention (RtI) Resources

    Response to Intervention (RtI) is a prevention and intervention system that is applied to any student if she/he starts to fall behind in school.  Intensity of intervention increases as a student continues to struggle.     IRISCenter for Training Enhancement:

    The IRIS Center aims to provide high-quality resources for faculty and professional development providers. It provides free, online, interactive training enhancements that translate research about the education of students with disabilities into practice.     The National Center on Response to Intervention:

    The New York State Response to Intervention Technical Assistance Center:

    The New York State Response to Intervention Technical Assistance Center (NYS RtI-TAC) is supported by a 5-year contract with the New York State Education Department, Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities. Our mission is to support capacity-building efforts of NYS schools to implement proven and promising practices within a Response to Intervention model. This website is designed to provide resources and tools to educators and families regarding effective RtI practices.     The NRCLD Learning Disabilities Resource Kit:

    The National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD) has developed this kit to help you navigate changes related to specific learning disability determination and responsiveness to intervention. All materials in this kit are in the public domain. Authorization to reproduce it in whole or part is granted.     The RTI Action Network is a website dedicated to the effective implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) in school districts nationwide.     DIBELS:

    This site provides information regarding The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS), a researched, reliable and valid indicator of early literacy development and predictor of later reading proficiency to aid in the early identification of students who are not progressing as expected. http://dibels.uoregon.edu/index.php

    Intervention Central:

    A website developed by Jim Wright, school psychologist from Syracuse, New York. Intervention Central contains a wealth of information related to RTI that supports a school’s implementation efforts.     National Center on Student Progress Monitoring:

    This site has resources about screening, student progress monitoring, Curriculum-Based Measurement, applying decision making to IEPs and other research based topics.
