The focus of Professional Horizons is to link academic achievement to personal and professional growth through an internship experience.
Certified PHP Coordinators utilize an extensive network of worksites and career mentors from the Central New York region to help students determine if their career choice is a "good fit." PHP partners with a wide variety of area businesses, industries, cultural centers, and higher education facilities to offer students realistic "first hand" information about career pathways. Real world experience enables students to learn about job requirements, expectations, and work environments.
This valuable learning assist students in making informed decisions regarding their post-secondary plans, career choices, and college majors. As a result, studetns will define their career goals and sharpen critical skills needed for success in college.
