Madison-Oneida BOCES is certified to offer instruction in the Pyramid Model to early childhood providers, administrators and support personnel. We have the only certified instructor in Madison County and one of three in Oneida County.

For the 2019-2020 School Year, the following modules will be given:

Infant/Toddler (Staff interacting with children birth-3 years of age)

October 11,2019 - Module 1:  Social Emotional Development Within the Context of Relationships

April 24, 2020 - Module 2:  
Responsive Routines, Environments and Targeted Strategies

TBD Spring 2019 - Module 3: 
Individualized Interventions with Infants and Toddlers

(Staff interacting with students 3-6 years of age)

September 26, 2019 - Module 1:  Building Relationships and Creating Supportive Environments 

November 1, 2019 - Module 2:  
 Social-Emotional Teaching Strategies 

December 11, 2019 - Module 3:  Individualized Intervention

Module 1: Parents Interacting With Infants - Strengthening parent-child interactions through the Pyramid Model

Module 2: Positive Solutions for Families - Promoting positive and effective parenting behaviors aligned with the Pyramid Model

Cost is $75 per person, per module and will be offered at the MOBOCES campus in Verona (Triplexus). All workshops will run from 8:00 am-3:30 pm.

School District Employees
: Cost is billed to the district or a P.O. can be accepted.

What is the Pyramid Model?

The Pyramid Model is a system of strategies to address social-emotional and behavior issues at the early childhood level. This includes infant/toddler and preschool module, and Pyramid also includes a parent module. Learn more.

Who can attend the workshops?

Anyone interested in learning new strategies and best practices for addressing challenging behavior in children can attend. This includes: child care center directors and staff, school principals, teachers and teaching assistants, family child care providers, after school care administrators, licensing officials, home visit professionals, trainers and presenters on other early childhood topics, parents, and anyone else who works with young children.
