News & Announcements

September 22, 2023

This morning, a bus aide noticed a student holding an object that looked like a weapon. The aide and bus driver immediately notified administrators of the situation. Upon arrival to campus, all students were held on their respective buses while an Oneida County Sheriff’s Officer conducted an investigation.

A toy was recovered from the student. At no time were students or staff in any danger during this incident, and classes resumed on a normal schedule.

The matter will be addressed in accordance with our Code of Conduct and other BOCES procedures.

The health, safety and security of all students, staff and visitors is our highest priority. We are appreciative of the continued assistance we receive from our law enforcement and community partners.

Sincerely,
Scott Budelmann
District Superintendent & CEO
