Duties: Duties include intake, direct instruction, assisting with testing/assessment, maintaining accurate record keeping and accountability for student achievement and retention. Seeking candidates with experience teaching and ability to work with a diverse adult and/or out-of-school youth population to deliver basic academic skill instruction as well as high school equivalency preparation; comfortable teaching adults who may have learning difficulties. Candidates must be self-disciplined and able to work within a team and independently. Availability to complete 14 hours of professional development sponsored by the Regional Adult Education Network (RAEN) required.

Qualifications: NYS Teacher Certification preferred, or ability to obtain Adult Ed Certification

Location of Position: Oneida Recreation Center

Salary: $25-$29/hour (Depending on certification and experience)

Starting Date: September 18, 2023 or sooner

Term of Employment: Part-Time, Mon-Thurs/Fri 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (12 Month Position)
