• The BCCE Adult Practical Nursing Program prepares students to take the NCLEX-PN licensing exam for Practical Nurses.  The curriculum includes:  classroom theory, laboratory skills, and clinical experience.  This course is a total of 1260 clock hours in length. A comprehensive, intensive three-day NCLEX-PN exam review is offered at the conclusion of the course.

    Classroom and laboratory instruction take place at the above locations.  The clinical experience component takes place at various health care facilities in the Utica-Rome-Oneida area.  The program health documentation requirements are:  American Heart Association CPR – BLS Healthcare Provider w/AED certification; a physical exam; immunizations and/or blood titers, a negative tuberculosis test and flu shot.
     
    Students completing the first semester of course work are eligible to take a Nurse Aide certification test, and if successful seek employment as a Certified Nurse Aide, and also eligible for HHA (Home Health Aide) Training.
     
    Students are evaluated throughout the program.  To successfully complete the program you must complete 1260 clock hours of instruction.  A grade average of 75% must be maintained in each course and you must pass both the nursing skills and the clinical component to receive a certificate of completion.
     
    Currently, tuition is $10,500 plus other associated costs estimated to be $1,600. This amount is subject to change without notice due to increases in program costs.   Call the Verona Office (315) 361-5800 for application deadlines and to schedule your pre-admission test.
     
    The following tuition refund schedule shall apply to a student who withdraws or is terminated after the course begins:

     The first 2 days are prorated (by the day);

    Before the 315th program hour 75%
    After the 315th program hour and before the beginning of the 2nd semester, 50%
    After the 2nd semester begins and before the 945th program hour, 25%
    After the 945th program hour, NO TUITION IS REFUNDED.
