• The School Librarian of the Year Award honors a school librarian in a Madison-Oneida BOCES school who exhibits excellence in the profession as demonstrated by participated in professional learning opportunities, excellence in teaching, support of literacy, and other leadership skills.

    • The 2016 School Librarian of the Year is Mary Sue Brost - Annsville Elementary School, Camden Central School District
    • The 2015 School Librarian of the Year is Tina Laramie - Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School
    • The 2014 School Librarian of the Year is Laura Winchester - Madison Central School District

    The Teacher of the Year Award honors an educator in a Madison-Oneida BOCES school who exhibits excellence in working collaboratively with the school librarian to integrate information skills into the classroom curriculum and to use the resources and services of the library media center to enhance student learning.
    • The 2016 Teacher of the Year is Nicole LaFave - Stockbridge Valley Central School District - nominated by Amanda Ingalls - Stockbridge School Librarian.
    • The 2015 Teacher of the Year Team : Jolene Vanderhoof and Darren Barone - Vernon, Verona Sherrill High School (VVS CSD)
    • The 2014 Teacher of the Year is Eilssa Widomski - Vernon, Verona Sherrill Middle School (VVS CSD)
    • The 2013 Teacher of the Year is Michelle Little - North Bay Elementary School (Camden CSD)
    • The 2012 Teacher of the Year is Ann Marsland - E.A. McAllister Elementary School (VVS CSD).
    • The 2011 Teacher of the Year is Kathryn Sabino - Hamilton Middle/High School.
    • The 2010 Teacher of the Year is Pat Hobbs - Vernon, Verona Sherrill Middle School Seventh and Eighth Grade Language Arts Teacher.
    • The 2009  Teacher of the Year is a team of teachers from North Bay Elementary School (Camdent): Babette Komnick and Wendy Nasutowicz
    • The 2008 Teacher of the Year is Kathryn Wood - McConnellsville Elementary School.
    • The 2006 Teacher of the Year is Lisa Conley - Morrisville-Eaton Middle/High School.
    • The 2005 Teacher of the Year is Bonnie DeGroat - Otto Shortell Middle School in Oneida.
    • The 2004 Teacher of the Year is Kelli Ramer - New York State School for the Deaf.
    • The 2003 Teachers of the Year were Lynn Virkaitis - Morrisville-Eaton Middle/High School and Rema Thirumulpad, Gifted and Talented Teacher in the VVS Elementary Schools..
    • The 2002 Teachers of the Year were Chris Brewer - Morrisville-Eaton Middle/High School and Dorothy Ervin of Denti Elementary in Rome.
    • The 2001 Teacher of the Year was Sheila Tucker - Camden Middle School.
    • The 2000 Teacher of the Year was Jackie Mutch - Camden Elementary School. 
    • The 1999 Teacher of the Year was Christine Cummings - J. D. George Elementary in VVS.
    • The 1998 Teacher of the Year was  Colleen Hilts - Canastota Junior/Senior High School.
    • The 1997 Teachers of the Year were the Fifth Grade Team - E.R. Andrews Elementary School in Morrisville-Eaton: Dan  Martin, Julianne Taylor, Gene Thomas and Nancy Schlosseer.
    • The 1996 Teachers of the Year were Sally Lura, English Teacher - Hamilton Central School and Jacqueline Meneses, Fifth Grade Teacher in Stockbridge. 
    • The 1995 Teacher of the Year was Gary Ford, History Teacher - Rome Free Academy.
    • The 1994 Teacher of the Year was Jay Dunn, English Teacher - Morrisville-Eaton High School 
    • The 1993 Teacher of the Year was Paul Kotwica - Art Teacher, Denti Elementary School, Rome.

    The Administrator of the Year Award honors an educational administrator or administrative team in the Madison-Oneida area who has made a significant contribution to support of the school library program.  
    • The 2016 Administrative Team of the Year is Nancy Opperman - Bellamy Elementary School Principal and Sarah Vergis - Bellamy Assistant Principal, Rome CSD nominated by Sarah Keesler - Bellamy Elementary School Librarian.
    • The 2015 Administrator of the Year is Michael Drahos, Morrisville-Eaton Central School District Superintendent; nominated by the M-E MS/HS Librarian, Beth Geatrakas.
    • The 2014 Administrator of the Year is Frederick Bragan, Canastota Central School District Superintendent; nominated by the SLS Council.
    • The 2013 Administrator of the Year is Mary Lynne Szczerba, Camden School District, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. Nominated by all of the Camden District Librarians.
    • The 2012 Administrator of the Year is Karen Miller, Staley Elementary School (Rome CSD) Principal.  Nominated by School Librarian, Cathy Woodruff.
    • The 2011 Administrator of the Year is Christopher Brewer, Morrisville-Eaton MS/HS Principal. Nominated by School Librarian, Beth Geatrakas.
    • The 2010 Administrator of the Year was  Patricia Fallon, Annsville Elementary School Principal. Nominated by LMS, Jennine Bloomquist.
    • The 2009 Administrator of the Year was Craig Ferretti, McConnellsville Elementary School Principal. Nominated by LMS, Shelley Delosh.
    • The 2008 Administrator of the Year was Oneida City School District's Administrator for Technology, Timothy Kohlbrenner.
    • The 2007 Administrator of the Year was Camden Central School's Technology coordinator, Louise Grenier.
    • The 2006 Administrator of the Year was Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Superintendent Norman Reed
    • The 2002 Administrative Team of the Year was Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Superintendent Norm Reed and J. D. George Elementary School Principal Stephen Orcutt.
    • The 2000 Administrator of the Year was Elizabeth Warwick of Transfiguation Elementary in Rome. 
    • The 1998 Administrator of the Year was Lois Lang of Oneida Castle Elementary School, Oneida.
    • The 1996 Administrator of the Year was Garad Williams, Principal, Canastota Jr./Sr. High School. 
    • The 1995 Administrators of the Year were David Farah, Principal, Clough Elementary School, Rome and Fredrick Volp and Peter Tamburro, Oneida City Schools. 
    • The 1994 Administrator of the Year was Robert Evangelist, Principal, John Joy Elementary School, Rome. 
    • The 1993 Administrator of the Year was David Gilmeister, Principal, Willard Prior Elementary School, Oneida.
