MOBOCES hosted a breakfast reception for about a dozen area business leaders and representatives from the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Oneida Area Chamber of Commerce on November 15.

District Superintendent Jackie Starks opened the event by sharing an overview of programs and services at MOBOCES and the shift over the last decade in the rigor, value and reputation of Career and Technical Education programs across the state.

CTE Principal Erin Noto then shared information about work-based learning, which is a required component of all CTE programs and includes internships, job shadows, work site visits, college visits and service projects. She shared the benefits of WBL and thanked the 170 area business partners that offered internship spots to MOBOCES students last year to help them gain hands-on workplace experience in their field of interest.
