Alternative Education Graduates Share Success Stories
MOBOCES hosted an Alumni Breakfast on Thursday morning for graduates of the Alternative and Special Education Program. The panel of alumni told their stories to current students in 9th-12th grade.
These successful alumni were able to share where they were and how far they’ve come after graduation. In attendance was a corrections officer, an entrepreneur, two substance abuse counselors and a graduate working towards his optician’s license.
All five of the alumni shared how important their time at MOBOCES was and how it shaped who they are today. After the panel students were invited to chat one-on-one with the graduates for more insight on their paths.
The breakfast was organized by Behavior Management Specialist, Carol Musacchio, who the graduates described as a mentor and great teacher.
