Sports Management and Entertainment Marketing

Sports Management & Entertainment Marketing is an exciting two-year pathway that offers an in-depth look at the business and behind-the-scenes aspect of sports, recreation, and entertainment. Hands-on experiences include field trips to local sports and entertainment venues, shadowing opportunities, working alongside professionals at live sporting events, and guest speakers from major sports facilities and organizations. Students who are interested in a wide range of careers including, but not limited to coaching, brand management, analysis, broadcasting, and podcasting are encouraged to enroll. 

 

**This program is based at Canastota High School. Bussing is available for daily classes. Students must provide their own transportation to internship sites.**

All students will complete industry internships during their senior year and must provide their own transportation to their work site.

Course Credits

Upon completion of this two-year program, students will earn a total of 7.5 integrated high school credits:

  • 3 Units of CTE
  • 1 Unit each of English 12, Math 11, and Science 11
  • 1 Unit of Government & Economics
  • .5 Unit of Career & Financial Management
