Auto Collision Repair

The Automotive Collision Repair program prepares students for auto careers through a combination of rigorous academic instruction and hands-on training in essential automotive industry skills, such as welding, refinishing, repair estimation and more.

Through this two-year program, students learn basic safety, knowledge of equipment, tools and their maintenance, working with sheet metal, and fiberglass repair. Students also apply what they learn in the classroom through project-based lessons in our on-campus, fully equipped laboratory that emulates a real autobody shop.

The program additionally provides students with direct industry experience during their senior year, as they complete an internship alongside industry professionals at a local body shop, dealership, or related business.

Students are expected to have professional work attire and leather work boots in addition to traditional school supplies.

Course Credits

 

Upon completion of this two-year program, students will earn a total of 7.5 integrated high school credits:

  • 3 Units of CTE
  • 1 Unit each of English 12, Math 11, and Science 11
  • 1 Unit of Government and Economics
  • .5 Unit of Career and Financial Management
