Allied Health Partnership NEW

Allied Health Partnership

Allied Health Partnership is a one-year program for high school seniors interested in learning more about advanced health care careers. Students gain a real-world view of the field through immersion and shadowing at local hospitals and healthcare facilities, and they develop essential college-level academic skills. Through a combination of career exploration and research, students will learn about the healthcare system, medical ethics and workplace civility, patient care practices, and the language of medicine.

This program is located on the main Verona campus. Transportation is provided to campus, but students must have their own transportation to and from their internship sites.

This program is part of our New Visions track, which emphasizes college preparation alongside work-based learning opportunities. These specialized, one-year courses are limited to seniors and require students to participate in an application and interview process. Interested students should:

  • Demonstrate academic competency (an 85/B average or higher is recommended)
  • Have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated
  • Possess a commitment to excellence
