Equine & Animal Science NEW

Equine & Animal Science

Equine & Animal Science prepares students to learn about, care for, train and manage horses as well as canines and small animals. In addition to research papers, projects, and presentations, students routinely work with live animals by traveling to local partnering stables and operating a small animal grooming and boarding operation in the classroom. Students develop problem solving, creativity, teamwork, compassionate care, and effective communication skills along with technical knowledge.
