Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education prepares students for careers in teaching and working with children. The program is co-located in two local schools, providing students with extensive opportunities to push into elementary classrooms, receive guidance and mentoring from teachers in the field, and work with young children of varying backgrounds, needs and abilities. Planning, developing, and implementing lessons enables students to understand the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children.

Students in this program are assigned to one of two sites: Stockbridge Valley or Vernon Verona Sherrill. Transportation is available.
