Automotive Technology NEW
The Automotive Technology program places you on the fast track to an auto career through academic instruction, real-world experience, and project-based learning of auto systems, diagnostic equipment operation, and more.
A National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF)-certified program, Automotive Technology emphasizes complex problem-solving skills and basic properties of applied chemistry and physics using a college-level textbook. Those skills will be applied in our fully equipped, on-campus laboratory, where students learn and work on projects including engine disassembly, parts identification, and re-assembly.
During their senior year, students hold an internship at a local auto dealership or related business, where they study advanced elements of automotive repair technology and gain direct field experience alongside industry professionals.

Students are expected to have professional work attire and leather work boots in addition to traditional school supplies.

Course Credits
Upon completion of this two-year program, students will earn a total of 7.5 integrated high school credits:
- 3 Units of CTE
- 1 Unit each of English 12, Math 11, and Science 11
- 1 Unit of Government and Economics
- .5 Unit of Career and Financial Management
