Heavy Equipment Operation

The Heavy Equipment Operation program provides students with the technical skills to safely operate a variety of equipment used for building and highway construction and excavation. The course also includes instruction in basic surveying and welding and provides students with opportunities to earn their OSHA certification.

 

This program is located on the main Verona campus. Transportation is provided.

Students will need coveralls, all-season clothing, and leather work boots for this class. MOBOCES will provide personal protection equipment as needed.

Course Credits

Upon completion of this two-year program, students will earn a total of 7.5 integrated high school credits:

  • 3 Units of CTE
  • 1 Unit each of English 12, Math 11, and Science 11
  • 1 Unit of Government & Economics
  • .5 Unit of Career & Financial Management
