Director of Adult and Continuing Education
Duties: The Director of Adult and Continuing Education will lead and manage the BOCES Consortium of Continuing Education (BCCE) programs, which are dedicated to preparing adults for the future by providing essential education and job training skills needed in today’s technology-driven world. This role is responsible for overseeing more than 200 diverse educational programs offered to adults across 21 school districts, promoting lifelong learning as a pathway to lifelong success.
The Director will be instrumental in fostering partnerships between Madison-Oneida BOCES and Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES, ensuring that the consortium continues to deliver high-quality, accessible educational opportunities that meet the evolving needs of adult learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership, a commitment to adult education, and the ability to develop and implement programs that empower individuals to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
Qualifications: Certified NY State School Administrator (SBL) or appropriate civil service qualifications-Business & Education Program Director, viewable here. Experience in non-profit leadership and community development is preferred.
Location: Madison-Oneida BOCES, Verona, New York
Term of Employment: Full time - 12-month position
Salary: Contingent upon experience and education
