Education Technology Planning Specialist
Duties: Provide technology leadership focused on the development, refinement, and execution of strategic technology planning in support of school districts instructional and operational goals. Collaborate with district leaders on making informed decisions regarding technology initiatives. Forecast, develop, and implement plans to purchase and maintain IT hardware and software including an accurate inventory. Supervise, coordinate, implement, and manage technology projects as well as technology staff and technicians’ daily workflow. Assist school districts with short and long-range technology budget planning and identify cost optimization opportunities. Communicate effectively with district staff including with documents and presentations. Build awareness in district of available MORIC services and their role in support of technology in schools. Experience in an educational setting preferred.
Qualifications: Administrative (SDL) and/or Teaching Certificate OR must meet minimum civil service job requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience in an educational or business setting involving planning and utilizing computer technology.
Location of Position: MORIC / Oneida BOCES Region
Term of Employment: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Salary: Dependent on background and experience
