Sr. Office Specialist I (Adult Education - OHM Location)
Duties: Issue purchase orders, type letters and email, assist with mail distribution and logistics, enter attendance, run reports and manage data entry in computer databases. Serve as frontend receptionist for Adult & Continuing Education. Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Office Management, Office Technologies, Word Processing, Business Administration, Business Management, Communications, or a related field OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus two (2) years of clerical experience involving typing. Strong attention to detail is required. Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Must have the ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
Location of Position: BOCES Consortium of Continuing Education (located at OHM BOCES), 4747 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, New York 13413
Term of Employment: 12 Month Position (M-F, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
