Duties:  The Special Education-Resource Room Teacher is responsible for the content of both the instructional program and all of the activities in support of the alternative education program as outlined by the Director of Alternative and Special Education Programs. Teacher is also responsible for Math instruction, assessment and transition process of students in conjunction with content area teachers. Successful candidate must be able to manage both students and staff to create a collaborative positive learning environment in which all student needs are met. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt learning to a wide range of levels are essential.

Qualifications:  New York State Certification as Special Education Teacher – HS or Special Education Teacher – K - 12 and Math, grade 7-12

Location of Position:  Career Development Academy, Madison-Oneida BOCES Campus – TriPlexus

Term of Employment:  10-Month Position

Salary:  Contingent upon education and experience and according to the Madison-Oneida BOCES Teacher Contract

Starting Date:  Immediately
