11 CTE Students Turn Internships Into Jobs

Congratulations to the 11 CTE students who were recognized at this year’s Signing Day event on June 5 for earning paid positions at the businesses where they completed their senior year internships.
The students represent six school districts in our region and 7 Career and Technical Education programs at MOBOCES.
Several internship mentors and business representatives attended the ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the Signing Day honorees. Each business received a certificate and a small gift set that included a chocolate bar with a special wrapper created by the CTE Graphic Design class.
Work-Based Learning Coordinator Paula Orr said four of the 11 businesses that hired their CTE interns this year worked with MOBOCES for the first time this year.
“Thank you for the time you spent with our students and for believing in them,” she told the business representatives.
