The CTE Exploration Process

th Grade: Schools arrange for eighth graders to visit the Rossetti Education Center for a tour of our facility, speak with current students and teachers, and receive informational overviews of our 17 two-year programs.

th Grade: Students select "cluster visits" based upon the programs they found interesting during their 8th grade visit. These cluster visits allow students to study more closely areas or related programs to determine where their career interests are.

th Grade: MOBOCES leaders visit each component high school in the winter to speak with 10th graders about their program options, the enrollment process, academic credits and graduation options. These are conducted in a large group assembly.

th Grade, part 2: Interested 10th graders visit MOBOCES in the spring to explore specific program options prior to enrolling in 11th grade.

th Grade: Students who were not interested or did not/could not enroll in two-year programs may be able to consider one of our one-year, senior-only New Visions programs. These programs have rigorous application and admission criteria.
