Kyle Hale completed a two-year Conservation program at MOBOCES during high school. A Canastota graduate, he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cobleskill in Agricultural Business Management with a minor in Agriculture Education. During college, he also held a full-time job for three years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Kyle currently works for CenterState CEO/Ascend Capital in Syracuse, where he manages a commercial loan portfolio of small businesses and specializes in agriculture-related businesses. A significant part of his work includes managing a $40 million grant aimed at business expansion and workforce development for the local manufacturing sector.
“My BOCES instructor always stressed the importance of being prepared, being on time, and being organized,” he said. “My advice to current BOCES students is to take every opportunity that you can, never say no to trying something new, and grow your network early.”
