Travis Davis completed the two-year Heavy Equipment Operation program at MOBOCES during high school. A Rome graduate, he had the opportunity to intern at the Oneida County DPW. After graduating, he went to SAGE Truck Driving School in Rome to earn his Class B license, and then he returned after turning 21 for his Class A license.

“Senior year, I was able to drive a dump truck, and I realized that I wanted to get my commercial license,” he said. “Follow your dreams and never give up!”

For the past five years, Travis has been driving for HP Hood in Vernon, making deliveries across the Northeast. He previously drove for Spirit and Sanzone in Marcy and International Wire in Camden. Throughout his 11 years as a truck driver, he has been to 27 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces.
