Cultural Dessert Hour Features International Cuisine

The Utica ACCESS Site hosted a Cultural Dessert Hour on October 25 for students in its English as a Second Language, GED and other adult education programs. Nearly 100 people enjoyed a buffet of food from all over the world. All of the food was prepared by staff and students, who were asked to make a dish that represented their nationality.

Local community members arrived for the festivities, including Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, and several other folks running for office.

The buffet line ran the length of two hallways and included both sweet and savory dishes.  The Dessert Hour offers a time for students to mingle and spark conversations over a meal.
