MOBOCES Wins Champions of Change Award for its New Visions partnership with Madison County Youth Bureau.

Patrick Longo, Member Relations Manager for the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) center, presented a Champions of Change for Kids banner at the BOCES Board of Education meeting on October 7th. Longo recognized the MOBOCES for its Students in the CTE New Visions Law, Government and Public Administration program staffing a vaccine call center for Madison County to assist residents.

“Last year was all about change and it was an honor and privilege to be the instructor. The students were phenomenal. They were hoping to do internship, but because of COVID we had to shift gears. In our partnership with Madison County, we set up a vaccine call center on campus. Our students rose to the occasion helping out residents in our community” said Cindy Ciaralli, Instructor.

The Champion of Change for Kids Recognition Program celebrates programs that optimize existing resources to address issues of equity, demonstrate strong student academic performance and introduce unique learning environments that are cutting-edge and future oriented. The recognition is presented quarterly to a few select districts.
