How long have you worked at MOBOCES? 22 years

Describe you job and responsibilities:
I assist school districts in complying with governing agency requirements (NYS SED, DEC, DOL, DOH etc.) and reducing district liability. Numerous inspections are conducted that include, but are not limited to, Annual Fire Inspections, Building Inspections, Playground Inspections and Chemical Fume Hood Inspections. Guidance and assistance are also provided in areas such as Hazardous Waste Disposal, Pesticide Usage/Reporting, Water Testing for Lead, Security and Emergency Preparedness. Additionally, districts are supported by conducting annual staff trainings for instructional and support staff, Indoor Air Quality Inspections, Influenza (and other communicable illnesses) Surveillance in partnership with the County Department of Health.

What do you like most about your job?
Working with school administrative, instructional and support staff. There are always new challenges that districts need to address in order to maintain a safe and healthy school environment for students and staff.

Fun fact about you?
I am an outdoors person and spend a significant amount of time kayaking, snowshoeing, fishing and hiking throughout the Adirondacks.
